It’s been an exciting summer in our little town of Torrey, Utah. Apple Days is the local Fourth of July festival and is a fabulous example of small town creativity. Guy was invited to ride a float and he threw out rolled prints to the excited crowd. (The parade is so short that it goes around twice!) Torrey was the starting point for the World’s Fastest Parade (55 MPH) to the next town over where the Bicknell International Film Festival’s theme this year was bad alien movies. Last weekend was the Torrey Music Festival and this weekend is the Women’s Redrock Music Festival. Both draw musicians and crowds from far and wide, and the greatest part is that we’ve got some of the most talented musicians living right here in Torrey!
The rain and monsoon thunderstorms have been adding some drama to the landscape and bode well for spectacular fall colors, particularly the aspen on Boulder Mountain. We’ve been discovering ancient rock art right here in Torrey.
Guy has been spending every free minute taking photos around the area and has posted quite a few new images on his web-site (guytal.com) and we’ve just hung about ten new gorgeous prints in the gallery. Speaking of the gallery, it’s looking beautiful and we’ve gotten very positive feedback. We invite everyone to take a trip to the greatest town on Earth and visit the Guy Tal Photography Gallery. As fall approaches (Guy’s favorite season), our little oasis in heaven becomes even more stunning.
